Say it with Flowers

Jean Miller is pictured with the flowers presented to her by Rev Rupert Hankey as a tribute to her work in arranging the flowers at St Andrew’s. Jean has just stepped down from her role on the team after 25 years dedicated to the task. A big thank you from all the church family.

Guest Speaker from Salmon Centre

Andy Wilson,  from the Salmon Youth Centre in Bermondsey, preached at the 10am service, and spoke about the way the centre works with disadvantaged young people. Here is Andy with Rupert Hankey and Philippa Linton. St Andrew’s has a longstanding connection with the Centre through our Churchwarden John White.

John (right) has been involved with the Salmon  for over 50 years, as  a volunteer and more recently a trustee. You can read about his work in the Salmon Newsletter » linked here, (See page 7)

Andy is seen here with Rupert Hankey and Phillippa Linton, after the service.

London Men’s Convention                    Saturday 17th March 2012

Michael Percival organised a group of men from St Andrew’s to join in the convention held at Westminster Chapel on 17th March. He reports they had a great time, with bible-based teaching, prayer, and worship, as well as enjoying a meal together. Now St Andrew’s are organising regular events for men, based on a café breakfast and an “easy” walk in Sidcup.
